Advanced Reports provide deep financial and operational insights into your business. You can generate category-specific reports, filter data by date ranges, and export your findings in multiple formats for external use.
1. Navigating to Advanced Reports
To access your business insights:
-
Log in to your Cordlo account.
-
Select the specific Business you want to analyze.
-
From the sidebar menu, click on Reports. This will open the Advanced Reports page.
2. Selecting a Report Category
Cordlo organizes reports into specific categories to help you find the data you need:
-
On the Advanced Reports page, you will see groups like Revenue & Invoicing, Expense Tracking, Tax Compliance, and Financials.
-
Review the categories (e.g., Profit and Loss, Tax Summary, Customer Reports) and click on the one you wish to view.
-
Note: Some advanced categories may require a specific subscription plan. Items marked with a “Crown” icon require an upgrade to access.
-
3. Generating a Report
Once you select a category, you must configure the report parameters:
-
Select Date Range: Use the date picker to set the Start Date and End Date for the period you want to analyze.
-
Filter by Fields (for Data Exports): In data-driven categories, select the specific data fields you want to include in your table (e.g., Customer Name, Amount, Date).
-
Update View: Click the Update button to generate the report data based on your selected filters.
4. Viewing Report Data
Depending on the category, Cordlo offers different ways to visualize your data:
-
Summary Cards: Quickly view high-level metrics like Total Revenue, Total Expenses, or Net Profit at the top of the page.
-
Summary Tab: Shows aggregated data grouped by category or time period.
-
Detail Tab: Provides a line-by-line breakdown of every transaction or record included in the report.
-
Data Table: For export-heavy reports, a paginated table allows you to preview the exact rows and columns before downloading.
5. Exporting Reports
You can download your reports to share them with stakeholders or for use in other accounting software:
-
Locate the Export buttons (usually found at the top right of the report results).
-
Choose your preferred format:
-
CSV: Best for raw data processing in spreadsheets.
-
Excel (XLSX): Best for formatted spreadsheet analysis.
-
PDF: Best for professional sharing and presentations.
-
-
The file will automatically generate and download to your device.
6. Troubleshooting
-
“Select a date range”: If you see this message, the report cannot generate until you define a period and click Update.
-
Empty Reports: If no data appears, ensure your filters (date range or selected fields) match the records available in your business workspace.
-
Access Denied: If a category is grayed out, check your subscription status in Settings > Billing.
